I have one of these sitting on a shelf at home that needs to be repaired. A friend has one mounted in his old rally car and they are very nice instruments and look proper for the period in the old vehicles. It is a wind up clock that runs for 24 or 36 hours (cannot remember which). It has a 27 volt heater on the back for those extended 40,000 ft missions and various timers for bombing runs etc. The numbers are all luminescent and probably painted with Plutonium they show up readily on Ebay if you search "Russian MIG clock".

Saw this thread and realized I forgot to post the pic as promised

Had to brighten it up to show the gauges a bit better.....

Late model MGB clock that I found refurbished in the UK.....$40. Fit perfectly in one of the two SIII accessory holes. I painted the bezel black to match! The middle gauge is an altimeter (actually from a Honda Gullwing 80s motorcycle deluxe package!)....fit almost perfectly and matched also I think!

I have to wonder what useful purpose a clock in a Series Rover really serves afterall a Series is neither early nor late but arrives exactly when it is supposed to.

I think the purpose of the clock is to measure the drivers punctuality... Not the rovers.

Punctuality and Series Rover....do they really belong in the same sentance?

Seriously, I know exactly what you mean. My DD SIII is warming up almost an hour before I need be across town- 4 miles.
