    whats this winch worth ?

    i got this winch with a deal i made for a 74 88' and i am thinking of selling it to put money back into the rover because you should never buy rovers just from pics.its a 6000 lb bellview made by rover motor company..i got a bunch of parts with the rover but the guy thought this was a real gem ...please help

    Why do you want to sell it? Why not fit it?

    It is a pre-Warn product, apparently. Predecessor to the 8274.

    Value around this guys, depending on what you have with it.

      hey thanks for the info.all i have is the fairlead to go with it..i don't need it is why i was thinking of getting rid of it..i was just thinking of getting a couple of things for my sereis 3....i need to get some headlight & tailight brush gaurds and a few other little things.thanks again !!

        FANTASTIC period winch that looks good on a series rover. Aside from looking good, they actually work quite well. I'd suggest holding on to it..

          I think you've priced it about right, since you're including shipping. Warn 8274s start at around $500 no shipping.

              I sold a bellview built into a series front bumper with the cable controls for $500 about 3 or 4 years ago.

              They're nice for a period resotration and actually work quite well but they are power in only, no power out, only free spool out.

                I sold a complete but rough condition Warn 8274 winch a couple of years ago to a friend for $300. I think that was a good deal for him...not so much for me and I kick myself now but I was in need of cash at the time.
