RN Work lamp kit install on a SIIa

I was gifted a RN work lamp kit for Christmas.

When installing the lamp, the light fixture is hitting the reverse light above the license plate light causing the bracket to not sit flush against the body. Has any one else run into this? I'm sure I could fab something up like a space, but I'm trying not to reinvent the wheel here. Any ideas?

The catalog is showing the lamp on a soft top D90, but if you have a hard top 88, why not mount it on the back of the roof panel, above the gutter. It will give you better lighting up there, at least that's how I feel about the work light on my 110.

I mounted mine there (above the license plate) without an issue. Maybe a photo would illustrate the problem?

mine is mounted between the two roof panels - great spot for it as it's higher up
