    Fuel Pump

    Hi all,

I have a 95' classic that will start and run and then dies. What happens is the fuel pump cuts out.

We replaced the pump with a spare as well as the pigtail that had been poorly wired by some previous owner. Problem still occurs.

The old pump and the replacement put out 30 lbs pressure - good.

Found that the white wire with purple tracer is loosing power, traced it to the relay, power is good and it doesn't cut out.

Tested the fuel interupter and that also is ok.

So my question is what else can be affecting the power to the fuel pump? I look forward to your enlightened answers. Thank you!

So, Are you saying the White/ Purple wire at the relay stays hot and the same wire at the fuel pump goes cold? Or the trigger wire for the relay looses power?

Look at the connector C407 I think it's left side of the fuel tank under the fender frame rail.
