    1995 RRC viscous unit test

I chocked wheels, put everything in neutral, lifted right front wheel, put lug wrench on it and with normal downward pressure it will not move.If I lift both front wheels it will move slowly but not with just one.Is my viscous unit siezed? Feels like it wants to crab when you go around a tight corner.

Did the first wheel off the floor spin forward, as soon as it cleared the ground?
Tyre wear on the inside edges?

Both the above are indicators that the centre diff. is locked up.

I agree with Les (I'd be crazy not to...LOL). The only viscous coupling I know of in this system is the torqe converter, which is out of the mix when the engine if off or is in neutral. If the diff lock is stuck you'll be trying to turn all the wheels at once, I believe. And a stuck diff lock can cause transmission damage and lots of tire wear.

Get your diff lock checked. You'll never be able to turn that wheel no matter how long a bar, or how much pressure, you try to use. If you can, get all four wheels off the ground and see what happens.
