    90 RR Classic Shifting Sticking

I have a 1990 RR Classic 3.9L. I just had the radiator and hoses changed out and now having issues with the transmission sticking - then responding slowly - then more sticking. Is this related to the radiator change? Is my transmission screwed now?

Hi Ground Hog, as you may know the RRClassic has a transmission oil cooler that routes up I believe below the radiator. Were any of those hoses messed with during the radiator install?

Also, since I'm assuming you disconnected your transmission cooler lines for the install, did you refill the transmission fluid that you lost? I had a similar issue when I didn't have enough fluid after a tranny flush.

Thanks for the reply! I thought so....The guys that refit the new radiator had no clue. I just hope my transmission isn't damaged already.

I doubt it is. The ZF is a killer transmission, and will last quite a while. I would either do a full flush, or just refill to the proper level.
