Help with axle upgrade?

Hello all
,I am installing a detroit locker and should I upgrade my axles( currently have the 24 spline) does this need to change to a hardened axle, will what i have snap like a twig ???

If you're running a stock size tire and don't plan to do any "hard core " off road, then no, you should be fine. But, if you plan to fit larger than stock tires and actually take this in the woods....then I'd upgrade.
