    Brake Lines?

So I was driving my Classic down the street to see how she was, and decided to check to see how the brakes were. After about 1second on full braking they gave in and I blew a line under the hood. Its right by the washer fluid tank. So I looked over all the lines they have seen better days.

Then I thought, if I replace one line, then that will make the rest weaker and maybe make others blow. Should I just do all the lines?

if one is that old, odds are the others are getting there too. Blowing a brake line can be quite dangerous, especially if at high speed or if you slam on the brakes. I would replace them all. I havent done it on mine, so I dont know how hard/easy it is. Hopefully someone elese will chime in.

I just had all of my hard lines replaced on my 93 LWB, took about an hour for my mechanic to do it. You could easily do it yourself if you had proper pipe bending and flaring tools. I just didn't have the time or I would have done it myself. I had been replacing lines when they blew one by one and splicing in new pieces but finally decided to just get it over with.

Im going to get some quotes from my mechanics and see where I am at then. I don't want to have to get it redone in a year because I did it myself and made more of a problem. Thanks for your input guys!
