    Rag Top

I just recently got my Range Rover back after selling it a few years back. I remember seeing a while back a company who makes rag tops to put in the Range Rover Classic. Does any one know the manufacturer?

I think Webasto manufactured them in the past, but I'm not sure that they still do.

I am unsure what the reference to "rag top" means. Can someone please clarify?

I've actually thought about doing this to a 1988 Classic. Luckily I have a friend who makes bimini tops for boats and also upholstery !

Have a look at a sample I found online (gotta love Google !)

My guess is that of a partially pulled back fabric roof or sun roof material would be the proper "rag top" term.

Volkswagen Notchback "Rag Top" (Simply LOVE this ride, perfect setup and has the SAME Porsche alloys that I've got on my Westfalia campmobile!)

MINI Convertible with a "Rag Top" feature, (similar option as on the Tickford type top on the 1994 Defender 90 NAS soft top)

My Classic has a full length Webasto sun roof. It's a canvas top that slides back with electric motors. Except it's broken.... It makes a noise but doesn't wind. There are two small plastic gears that have worn and need replaced. We will probably have to get them made. You can unlock it and pull it back a bit. It will be great when working. Not good on motorway speed though. Especially as it has a later 4.6 engine.

Usually "rag top" means convertable, or in Rover terms, a soft top.
