    Gasoline smell

I have a 1989 RRC and after filling it with gas the other day there was a strong smell of gas in the garage the next moring.

    Any ideas whY?

There were no tell tale signs of gas stains on the floor, nor of dribbles down the outside of any pipes around the fuel tank.

You may have over fill it. Does is smell more in the rear or the front of the car? The steel line do rust and starts leaking. You will need to inspect the system from the front to the rear.

Same happened to me. I ended up replacing the overflow rubber hose and it fixed the problem (look underneath at the rear drivers side...you will see the issue).
