    89 RRC Death Wobble

The famous death wobble has plaqued my 89 RRC. If I hit a bump at 50 mph or more a violent shake and it feels like it is going to run off the road- scary

I had a Disco in the past with a similar sympton
So any major differences from a RRC to a Disco with this issue?
I will check these things but if any advice or workds of wisdom please share
    1.Steering dampner
    2.Panhard rod bushing
    3.tie rod ends
    4. swivel pins

Any input on how to know which component is the culprit?

    Thx,
    Tim

At rest, turn the steering wheel left and right. If the body of the RR is moving with the turns check the bushings.

Other than that visual inspection of the tie rod ends (with a pry bar) will give a good indication of their wear.

I had this a year or so ago on a 1995 RRC LWB and two tie rod ends and a bushing kit from DAP later, a day of putzing and no problems since !
