    1989 classic with diesel?

Can a 200dti be put into a clasic without a re-invention of the wheel?
The wife wants a diesel and I want a rangie.... Anybody help?
    I have a series 3 now and am looking into a 200di ( no t) transplant.
I know these came from factory in the UK with oil burners ... any over here?
Whence came you my brother ? From the East....

You may have seen them but there were a couple diesel RRC's running around at Winter Romp. Probably 300tdi's. As far as reinventing the wheel...depends on how well you know how a wheel works I guess. To some it's straight forward, to others, not so much. Time, money and desire is all you need.

Matt Browne at overland engineering is the man to talk to. He runs a diesel in his classic.

I'm thinking maybe a 200Tdi in a two door. Can't see that being too hard... I don't want to swap a Tdi in my 95, I want to keep that as close to stock as possible...

I have an '89 w/ 300tdi 5spd that has been the shop mule for many yrs.
Also have a lwb '95 w/ 300tdi auto (customer) that is for sale
Also have an '82 2 door RRC and plenty of 200 / 300 tdi's kicking around (actually pretty short on the 200's as they are getting older and harder to source parts for). The 2 door will probably get a 300 in it shortly and be on the market.
