90 county swb. New to me. Bought it with no brakes. Replaced fancy brakes with regular booster and mc from older model. Stops fine but 4 wheel drive does not do well. in sand rear pass tire spins down. acts like front axle not pulling. one wheel drive. was thinking transfer case problem or fancy brakes needed for 4 wheel drive? now it's lost all forward gears. will go in reverse fine. fluid looks burnt, like thin motor oil. Any sugestions? Will a disco tranny and transfer fit? there are a couple at the local u-pull. Thanks for any help.

If its an early model d1 yes it will work. I have converted my RRC to a lt230 you have to use the D1 tcase mounts and e-brake brackets also the shifter for the tcase. The swap makes a world of difference. Send me a pm if you need more info. -
