i will skip the hyperbole. Please be your own judge: This truck is the recipient of 7 restoration awards, including first in class at my first ever professioannnly-judged concours d’elegance (by a pebble beach senior class judge), as well as the best-debuting restoration of the day award at the western washington all british field meet, on a field of drop-dead aston martins, jaguars, vintage bentleys, and other lovely british cars.
this is believed to be an ex-texas truck, taken into my shop approximately 10 years ago and the subject of a painstaking, meticulous 6-year restoration. Zero penetrating rust ever. Never been touched by a welding torch, with immaculate sheet metal and an indescribably delicious driveline. It drives precisely like a factory-new machine, with spectacular road manners, breathaking responsiveness and all genuine land-rover spares fitted.
the seats were all reupholsterd by my pebble-beach-winning upholstery ace, john parkhurst, now retired. They are not cheap reproductions ! Every switch, every lamp, every control device functions precisely as intended.
this is the finest short wheebase land-rover ever created by dare britannia, ltd., formerly the british northwest land-rover company, since 1969 the winningest restoration specialist of early land-rovers in north america, with 70-80 international restoration awards. My family were rover dealers in england in the 30s & 40s.
