I am the one who unfortunately had to back out of the sale. I was very disappointed because Sandt is a very honest and nice guy. This is NOT the typical DiscoII that is for sale, this thing is extremely clean and needs to go to another Rover enthusiast. I have done my homework on these things and have some good friends who are Rover tech's. We went over everything to look at when buying a DII - mechancial, rust, leaking sunroofs, etc. This truck is immaculate. Sandt took me on a 30 minute test drive (including some offroading on snow covered trails, testing out the diff lock, 4low, HDC, etc.). Everything on this D2 works perfectly. He then pulled it into his garage, gave me some flash lights, and let me crawl around underneath. This was waxoyled and it shows. Other than normal surface rust, this truck is clean and has no rust issues. No bulging frame, no soft spots. I have never seen a D2 from the Northeast this clean.
This is a great price for an immaculate truck.

I can't stress enough how good of a guy Sandt is and how clean this D2 is. He's the 2nd owner, bought it certified from LR Bedford, and has every service record since new. I am posting this because I want to help him sell this truck to another Rover enthusiast who will appreciate it. GLWS Sandt and I'm sorry it didn't work out for me to buy this.

            Beautiful disco.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you back out?

Strictly for personal financial reasons. This would have been our 4th vehicle and a replacement for a lease that ends this Spring. If it weren't for those complications I would have bought this vehicle for full asking price. It's that clean. I know that 8 out of 10 disco II's are probably not in great shape, but this is a true gem. I'd encourage anyone to go look at it and see for themselves.
