Must Sell 1969 Series II A 88 Land Rover
It is with great disappointment, regret and heart wrench that due to a tragic circumstance I must sell my 1969 Series II A 88 Land Rover. This vehicle was my baby…my pride and joy and at one time she just glowed. It was my hope to “one day” have her back to her glory.
The vehicle is currently at Rovers Works (RW) in Hyde Park NY. I have photos that Rover Works sent but unfortunately she looks really bad as this was shortly after the Hurricane that took place up there so she is very dirty. The Photos do not do her justice. But from sitting she has developed rust and is in rough shape. Window tracks will need to be replaced; she needs a paint job and lots of love.
I had purchased a brand new chassis for her and so she was dismantled and ready to go with the frame. I paid a good amount for the frame itself. The engine had considerable maintenance and work done on it. A stainless steel muffler I believe did get installed; a used transmission is ready to go in. The engine ran great but she has been sitting for some time and we all know how rovers do not like to sit. (A D90 chassis, a rebuilt 2A trans. Axles and lots of used and new parts are ready to go in) Nothing is being sold separately everything is being sold as a unit.

Earnie of RW said he would have her running though for anyone who wanted to see her. There are many assorted parts in boxes in the back of the rover. She also had a new driver’s door panel and rear door panel put on.
She also has the original winch on the front of it, 2 gas tanks, and a utility box that was originally on back door. There are a lot of other good aspects of this vehicle. She has great potential to be restored; a great project rover. She is being sold as is. And I hope she goes to someone who will love her as much as I do, Please contact me for photos and more info
    Thank you so much
