    SERIES III LIGHTWEIGHT

1979 Land Rover Series III Air portable, (Lightweight), FFR in excellent condition wearing a new coat of Army green paint and its military markings and decals. It is right hand drive. Bought this with the intention of re-creating a radio truck for display at restored military vehicle events and car shows. Just don't have the time to give it any attention, (just sits in garage), and have decided to sell. Has been converted from the original 24 volt to 12 volts. It does retain its original military distributor and armored plug wires as well as the original type military plugs. Oil bath type air filter and canister type oil filter. Tires are fairly new and are of the original military type. Has 2 spares. One on the hood and one behind the seats. Has 2 gas tanks, one under each seat, (I have never used the left tank, although it has fuel lines connected to it). Right tank has been retrofitted with an external filler neck. Price is $15000.00 and is not negotiable. Many hours have already been spent on this vehicle and they are very unique and rare, especially in the USA. Mechanicals work well. Typical Rover leaks. I don't pretend to know all there is to know about this vehicle. Just haven't had it long enough, so there is no warranty. It is sold as is. I believe the odometer shows 79000, but I would not guarantee this as accurate. Comes with a few spare parts and a lightweight manual. Photos upon request. Phone inquires call 662-286-0725. Thanks.

      not that rare

They are not that rare and at that price you could import a few from England.

Well he did say excellent condition, for the price I'm hoping it's near immaculate.

            excellent?

to start with the fuel tank fill is not original and he has not used the other tank? Sounds strange to me
