1986 Land Rover Santana Series III Diesel. We call him "Carlos Santana." Great condition for a 29 year old
vehicle. Newer dark green paint with contrasting cream tropical roof and matching rims. Imported from
Salamanca, Spain via the UK. Left Hand Drive, 4 cyl 2.25l diesel engine w/ 4 speed manual transmission,
    and vented tropical roof.
Short wheelbase ("88) 7 passenger station wagon model with padded split bench
seat in front, fold down seats in rear. Swing away rear door (3 doors total). Full time 4 wheel drive (selectable
low / high), spare tire mounted inside on rear bulkhead (behind driver's compartment). Odometer shows
38,605+ kms, but total mileage is believed to be 138,605 kms (83,163 mi)..that's only 2900 miles per year!
There are minor dings and cracks in the paint. Body panels are in good condition, frame (one cross member is
dented) and bulkhead are solid with some surface rust. Passenger footwell has some repairable corrosion. The
engine is smoky on start up (common in these basic 2.25l 4cyl diesel motors) but runs strong. Carlos is loud
and bumpy as most old Landy's are! Not a speed demon..happily plugs along at 55mph. The interior is in great
shape for its age (some cracks in the original dashboard). New exhaust, brakes, fuel injectors, and starter.
Fully titled and registered. Spanish VIN (VSELBAAG2AZ103574) stamped right on the vehicle data plate on
the driver's side in addition to the frame as seen in the photos. Well cared for..lived in a dry environment for
most of his life. Currently resides in Delaware near I-95, 30 min South of Philadelphia and 1 hour North of
Baltimore. Bought a Landy Pick-up, so Carlos needs a new family. Call Brad with questions (302-377-4479).
