    1979 Series 3 109 2 dr. with Mercedes 3.0 OM 617 diesel non turbo

I have decided to sell a few Series Land Rovers and this is the one I'm starting with.
Why I want to sell the one I like the most but thought it may show more interest.
It's a 2 dr. ex military imported from Sweden and had the 3.0 conversion done in Germany from what I've been told.
The diesel is a 88 hp non turbo 617.912 late 70's vintage ,different cam, more efficient combustion then the 617.91.
The conversion is clean and very straight and everything works well, the dash is stainless steel, all bolts replaced with stainless thru out the rover .
The frame is nice with original thick undercoating, all out riggers solid and straight.Rear cross member has been replace , but not due to rust.Spring perches ,front and rear are solid.
The door frames are without rust ,upper door frames as well.
It was a radio truck and has holes the upper top wings but nothing you can't hide with upper wing protectors.
The truck has been repainted a you can see , but looks like the trucks painted over the hand painted military paint job, but looks good.
There is a crease in the right rear quarter and other small blemishes thru out .Thats about it.
It also has a over drive and gets around 24- 27 miles per gallon.
The only thing that isn't working is the speedo.
The Rover is located in Iowa,
    Drive it home
    More pics on request
    Call if your interested,Thanks

    Mark,

Is this still for sale? Sounds like an interesting project.
