    1971 IIA Ambulance FS

Land Rover Series IIA ambulance, less than 12,000 original miles. Originally imported by Rovers North for me. No rust in frame or body, but shows its age cosmetically. Range Rover differentials and engine converted to Robert Davis Pontiac crossflow at 10,000 miles, making it a 70mph vehicle for trips. Brake booster system added. Lots more power than original LR engine. We planned to use it for camping and did a bit, but haven't used it in several years. This is the last year of the all metal land Rover interiors. Includes all the stretchers, and original gear. Pass thru to the drivers compartment. Very good Cooper tires. The frame used for the LR ambulance is a 109 Safari type so this could be an easy conversion by using a 5 Door wagon or long wheelbase pickup with a shot frame and engine. $7000.00 Ron, Bowdoin, Maine 207-319-4549

            ambulance

Sorry, but as you mention, I have more vehicles than I can use now. It has been off the road for 3 years, mostly because of the cost of insurance and registration for the trucks I do drive, but it is not ignored and has been driven around the yard and kept up to mechanical snuff.
