    LHD 12 volt lightweight FS $6500 in Maryland

    1977 Land Rover Series III military Lightweight .
    LHD , 12 volt

    Runs well and has had the following parts in the last few hundred miles.

    New Rocky mountain parabolic springs
    New shock absorbers
    New check straps
    Rebuilt Carburetor
    Rebuilt brakes including a new dual circuit power brake master cylinder
    New wiring harness
    ( EVERYTHING electrical on this truck actually WORKS )
    New radiator
    New parking brake shoes and rear output seal
    Rear mounted nascar grade Fuel Cell
    Spin on oil filter adapter
    Pertronix electronic ignition
    Distributor cap , plugs , wires etc
    Swivel ball rebuild with new seals
    All new tie rod ends
    Lots more

    NO Rust on the chassis + the bulkhead still has it’s original rust free foot wells and the vent panel ( a big problem with lightweights ) has been cleaned , treated with por-15 and refinished.

    Includes a COOL Custom made grill.
    The original military swiveling pintle hitch
    110 / defender door mirrors
    Rear work lights
    The Pick Up cab ( Unusual on a swb land rover in this country ).
    CB Radio
    Lots of dents

    A nice truck that is up and running now.
    Changed circumstances force quick sale

    The first three pictures were taken at the Mid Atlantic rally in Virginia at the beginning of October , That is where the residual mud seen in the chassis pictures came from :-)

    That looks like a solid truck at a good price.


    How did you get the pickup top to line up? I ended up giving up on my lightweight because the doors wouldn't close with it. I didn't try too hard though.

    And what make are those seats? They look comfy.

      I ended up riding in a line with this truck at MAR and it was a good runner. Good luck with the sale.

        Glad you like them, I enjoy design these . Unfortunately, they are limited editions. All registrants should have received one. [at least bump for a sale, kewl rig.]
