1976 Series III SWB RHD $2500

For sale. 1976 SWB RHD Series III. Red frame. White hard top.
    $2500 Located in Scottsville, VA.

I've had this truck for almost 3 years and it's time to pass it on to a new owner. I bought it on DWEB from Trevor and Galen's friend in Hershey, Pa. I forget his name right now. It was listed for sale on Dweb years ago here.

Since then I've had the carburetor replaced with a new Weber, put in a new choke cable, replaced the U-joints in the rear drive shaft, swapped out the points for an Ignitor electronic ignition and installed a CB radio in it. Nothing major. It ran when I bought her and it runs now. I drove it yesterday to the store to get beer.

I've taken her into a couple huge mudholes in her time, taken it off-road some, trailed it, and basically had a great time the whole time I've had her.

Her main problem now is rust in the front quarter chassis. One side of it I've had welded together and reinforced and the other side has some deterioration in need of attention. She also pops out of first and third gear some and you end up driving mainly in 2nd and 4th gear. I have a second working transmission in the garage that I bought from Tom in Pa that I never put in and will throw that in for free.

If you want a good series III at a good price and you want to replace the chassis and transmission then this would be a good project for you. 2500 bucks takes it all.

Looks like a good opportunity for someone to pickup, throw a new chassis and transmission under and for about $6000 total have a nice Series truck.
