1975 101 Forward Control Land Rover

Whether you want to just go play out in the woods or explore the world, here is your opportunity to own a truly amazing truck. This truck was imported into the US in 2000 and then went trough an extensive restoration with many upgrades in 2003/2004 in preparation for an expedition to the Arctic Circle. All major components of the truck had been rebuild, upgraded, reconstructed or replaced and extensive testing of the vehicle took place in 2007 when it made the trip up to the Arctic Circle and back.

After returning from its trip it was offered up for sale and has been in the hand of collectors and was featured in a number of offroad magazines and is well known in the Land Rover community. Its is getting harder and harder to find nice examples of the 101FC so don’t let this opportunity slip away.

    Upgrades include:

A New 4.0 liter V8 custom set up by Woody at The Wedge Shop in Massachusetts was installed during the time of restoration

Custom designed external roll cage with integrated rear tire carrier and diamond plate roof surface. Set up to accept tent system and ladders as well as custom designed awning.

Stainless steel fuel tank in stock location and an auxiliary aluminum fuel tank, each with individual fuel pumps and gauges for redundancy(auxiliary tank is currently not installed).

Hot water external shower system with on board 25 gallon aluminum water tank (water tank not currently installed).

    Dual arctic heaters in cabin.

    heavy duty alternator

Adjustable Rancho shocks on all 4 wheels

    Raised air intake system

Dual battery system with solar recharger.

    Recaro seats.

    On-board heavy duty air compressor.

Rebuild transfer box at time of restoration.

    Detroit rear locker.

6 Michelin XCL in good condition.

    Vehicle rewired, including electronic ignition.

    Zeus Front disc brakes.

    Rear back up camera.

Upgraded military running lights, H4 headlamps, cabin lighting, bed lighting and Hella off road lights.

Cabin overhead console with CD player.

Custom designed interior storage rack for carrying supplies.

    Class 3 rear hitch.

Engine heater, oil pan heater and battery heater installed with plug in system on front of vehicle.

Custom canvas and pick up cab canvas included.

18,000 pound tested PTO Nokken winch.

New steering box and custom steering wheel for better cab access.

    Custom dual exhaust system.

(The water, fuel and air tanks that are not currently installed in the vehicle are included with the sale of the vehicle along with any other misc. parts that came with it when I purchased the truck.)

The truck will also have a fresh service on all fluids before leaving to its new owner. Asking $15,000.00 truck is located in Bend OR. Scott 541-550-6300 or

Thanks, Only reason I am selling the truck is because I am lusting after a portal axle kit for my defender. In a perfect world I would have both---but not with this economy.

I was in hot pursuit of this thing when it was in Iowa a few months ago...I live in MN
Funny story some local dude sees it at the local garage tells him to post it on I8mud or whatever and bang it is gone....That must have been you...you got a good deal
Well good luck with the sale- sell it to someone back here in the midwest so I can start from scratch again....

That was probably me. The last time I saw this truck for sale it was north of 20K and I was lusting after it then. I jumped at the opportunity when it was for sale--put some work into because it has sat for quite some time. The truck had the mileage on the oil filter from its last change---only gone 2500 miles since mid 2007. Been enjoying the truck but made the fatal mistake of searching online for some parts and found that there is a portal axle kit for my Defender. Been wanting Portals before I wanted this truck so the truck is up for sale to buy the portals. Soon to hit Ebay as I really want the Portals.

                  Up On Ebay

I put the truck up on ebay with a starting bid of $10,000.00 and no reserve---someone can get a heck of deal.

Could not build a truck like this for 2 times the price!
