Wanted used Top bows, Hoops for 1956 Land Rover. Can S2, 2A Hoops be made to work?

I Need a good used set of top bows, "hoops' for a 1956 S1 land rover. I have the 1/2 cab, but want the convertable option. Can series 2 or 2A, S3, hoop sets be made to work? I am new to Old Land Rovers, and wonder if anyone has used S2, S3 hoopsets on an S1.
Also, can the hoop set be made at home with 1/2 Galvanized conduit?
I know of a local Land Rover guy selling a SWB used hoop set and good canvas, for an S2, I would like to buy both, but would like to know if the 88" hoop set can be made to work on an S1,, Any info would be great, Thanks. Tim. Washington State.

My 1956 land rover is in transit.. It should clear US customs in about a week. Just trying to source the parts that i know are missing.
