Hello all, I'm helping my 17 year old son find his first vehicle, looking for a Series II/III or cheap Land Rover Defender. Happy to drive out of state (we're lower NY) and needs to be running, LHD and here in US (not overseas).
His budget is ~7k range. We'd both appreciate any leads on finding one, ideally a 109 but a 88 is also fine.
We're OK with non-original or franken-builds as willing to spin wrenches on it. Only requirements are must be running so we at least can try getting it home under its own steam, and LHD steering.
