Now that Britain has voted to leave the EU, will Land Rover need to worry about the EU mandates that caused it to shutter production of the Defender? Any thoughts?

I doubt it. It is my understanding that a factory is being set up in Eastern Europe & new tooling being fabricated for the new replacement vehicle. But don't fret, for another 25 years there will be a new to us Defender available each year. They even introduced a new 200tdi for US buyers last year.

I doubt it... Their are some business people negotiating with land rover but you got to remember; I've they build them again, where would they sell them? EU; no not pedestrian friendly enough and for environmental reasons. So they will relocate it, and make them for Afrika for example.
Further, they really want to sell a "defender" in the usa... Only possible with a completely new safe polar friendly one...
My thoughts
Teriann, You know how to muddy the waters and start rumours ! What with new Series I's (2.0 oise engines) rolling of the assembly lines, I am awaiting my new 2018 Series II 2.0 Diesel engined 88" Station Wagon, I have the plate for it already !!
