Not today exactly, but this weekend:

Found out where the coolant leak was coming from. Not the heads but going to do the HG's anyways while she is apart.

Well then, our trucks are now in about the same state of disassembly! Waiting for the shop to call me with my fresh head so I can put mine back together.

Spent the morning disassembling the pick-up cab I picked up Thursday. Corner window seals so rotted the panes came out with no issues. Rear slider tracks just rust, but the panes are solid. Removed top from lower cab body and washed the grime off. Now its time to strip and paint ( go polished aluminum?) , refurb, and figure out how it attaches to a 109.

Anyone have some pictures of their 109 with a pick-up cab?

Oil/Filter change and swapped over to new PL1029 starter. Starter clearly superior to OEM, at least for now! Nice to have fresh exhaust w/fasteners, easy to remove front pipe- necessary to make job a bit easier!

Mounted a set of XZL's to limestone Wolf wheels, and installed Dyna Beads balancing media.

Put a "new" deluxe bonnet on, after painting the inside a nice rustoleum gloss black on all steel members, with the rubber bumpers for the tires, hinges and catch...thanks to my mate Neil for a smoking deal...

Coming together - now on to the engine - gotta drain tank, replace spark plugs, "prime" it, then see if she starts after sitting for 7 years in a field

after over 3+ years of driving with no turn signals, I fought off the lucas gremlins with a test light and a can of smoke. 3 out of the 4 lights work and flash as they should. The last one is puzzling me, it has power, and is grounded, and the bulb is good, but it still doesn't light up....
