It is the same method I used to convert my lift gate to a side opening door. There is a metal strip at the bottom of the door that protects the bottom seal. If you taper that strip you do not need to open the door far enough to completely clear the tailgate to drop the tailgate.Originally Posted by whitehillbilly64
