I have recently bought a used choke to fit to my 61 Series 2 and replace the broken one.
It’s very close to fitting, but the threaded sleeve that passes through the bulkhead is slightly too long for the metal bracket on the engine side. I had thought about cutting it down but it appears to have been heat sealed up to the exact point I’d need to cut. I also thought about drilling the bracket hole open but there isn’t enough space to accommodate the new size hole needed.
Does anyone have any ideas that would allow me to either shorten the new black one in the photo or maybe pull it apart and use the metal cable sleeve and attach it to the old metal threaded sleeve? ALL ideas welcome as I have for the moment run out!
