225/70/16, 28.4"x 8.9",
for free- sure- why not? the original 88's tire size was similar to that used by the Willys jeep for example:
109s used 7.50 16s which were 31-32" tall, 6.00 16s were 28" tall. So as long as you have a decent weight rating anything inbetween these would be ok.
I've seen a LOT of 88s on 235-75-15s.
Most people prefer the taller tires like 33 9.50 15's.Comment
