NADA #465 - Keeping it original - SU carb & distributor
I'm seeking input from the community -
After 50 nearly years of service and various prior care takers - I'd like to send the original 2.6 carb and distributor off for good cleaning, service, and parts replacements (if necessary) in time for the start of next spring season.
I've been the steward for the past 6 years - the truck appears to have been well cared for prior to my purchase. I'm looking to prepare it for the next 50 and eventually the next custodian.
I'm seeking the contact details of shops experienced with the SU carb and distributor.
Who can share their prior experiences - recommendations and what to avoid.
Thanks in advanceComment

Have been waiting for a long time for a new Bulkhead. Clarence is in storage awaiting the new Bulkhead. Clarence has a rebuilt 2.6 installed and I have a spare block and head.

Apparently #493 has been located by a guy thinking of buying it from someone on the Atlantic coast. It has a swapped out engine and according to the guy has been sitting in the sand for a long time. Anyway the potential of another NADA being rescued is nice.Comment
