    Newbie in NC

    Hey everybody,

My name is Steve and I am now a Land Rover owner. I'm originally from England but have been in the US nearly 10 years now, currently in Wilmington NC. I'd been a jeep guy until a RHD Series III FFR 109 appeared on craigslist and I couldn't help myself. I'll post more about my plans as time goes by but right now just thought I'd say hey.

    Pictures can be seen here

Land rover pictures from friends & fun photos on webshots

The last few are how it sits now, I didn't buy the chrome wheels or the racks.

      2manykids-

I like what you've done to it. Before, it just wasn't right...like mushrooms on a taco.

Rineheitzgabot, thanks I know that everyone has different tastes but it was an easy choice for me to let him keep the wheels go back to stock and save some money!

Here is an attached photo of my 1967 11a carawagon I just picked up after a year long debate....

She needs alot of work but I just spent yesterday in the pouring rain and mud taking the top off and bringing her home for a winter rebuild.

I have a NADA wagon on the way so the top will spend time on both the NADA and the 109 3 doors...

I might get real ambitious and have the 67 11a carawagon rebuilt on an updated chasis and gear (when I win the lottery)

Anyways 5 rovers for now is about all my wife will alow- God bless her soul!

Linus- Yes indeed those are the pics of my truck taken by Marcus Tooze (I think the son of the father who was the orig owner) Those were taken in NB- The gent I bought it from bought it about 8 years ago and had it parked in Iowa

Those pics are also on Teriann's website carawagon section.

I dismantled the interior this week and am now starting the roof top rebuild....Lots of fun work ahead!

                          Thanks-Tim

                            ok

I must have saved those pics from terianns site. I have seen that truck pop up for years and years.

Glad its finally getting some attention.

                                Sure is,

Its been replaced with a 40 series Flowmaster and tucked up away better than the glass pack.

The glass pack was true "African Ingenuity " in the way they hung it.
