'73 109 Station Wagon
Started out as a RHD 6cyl petrol truck that took a quart of oil every 100 miles.
She is now: a LHD
Isuzu 4BD1T 4cyl turbo diesel with a Dodge Ram 5-speed tranny
Stage 1 turbo upgrade
Custom Exhaust
Disco1 axles (4 wheel disc brakes)
Defender 110 Steel Wheels
IIa nose with LED headlights and military directionals
Range Rover Power Steering unit
Custom Rock Sliders
Battery relocated under passenger seat
Adjustable tie-down anchors below jump seats
LED ribbon lighting around custom headliner
Convex race rearview mirror (zero blind spots now)
Full Galvanized Roof Rack and ladder with "no-climb" prison fencing used as decking
Custom Class 3 Receiver with 7-pin trailer plug (Shout out to Mark)
And can't forget the Guinness Bottle Opener on the rear bumper (will never be caught without an opener while camping again).
And a plethora of bits and pieces from our hosts - Thank You Les.
She spends her time hauling our kids in and around Saratoga Springs, NY, to New England Ski Hills, camping in the Adirondacks, and to summer Car Shows events.

- ROAM galvanized 10"rims
- Full respray inside and out
- New (to her) top and sides with sliding glass - new tracks, locks and hardware - works well vs fixed windows

- New Pierce intake manifold with Weber dual throat carby
- New (to her) Brownchurch rack
- New rear crossmember1963 Series IIa 109" 5 door Safari top (SOLD to new home)

My Series 3. Bought it as a solid non-running truck with a great drive train. I spent a few months doing a rear quarter chassis, parabolics, re-spray, interior overhaul, and refurb of many parts. Still working things here and there, but it has become a very reliable daily driver. I enjoyed it so much, I've even considered selling this one to do another. My wife and I drove away from it in our wedding in November! Here are a few after pics, and some of the "before":
Before all of the work!
