That said, it doesn't actually mount to the tail gate. The simple latch mechanism is actually on the lower contact pivot point. Essentially, there are four bolts that connect it to the truck. Two in the upper tub rail and two in the lower.Comment

My Series III:
One of the last to be worked on by East Coast Rover before it focused solely on Defenders. They swapped out the frame and engine. Also brought various systems - suspension, brake lines, etc. back to par. Added the four point roll cage which can be seen under the hoop set. Photos of the missing tub floor is body renovation work that I am currently doing to replace corroded tub supports and floor. Lots of fun getting all the rivets out….

Nothing special. New 3mm aluminum floor with new floor supports and top hats. Really wanted the corroded floor supports out as the electrostatic corrosion had eaten through the floor. I will though have a local auto paint shop prime and paint the floor in proper blue. I don't mind having faded bits alongside newly painted.Comment
