thanks everyone! i entered it in a car show saturday where there was a top 35 and won an award. =) not bad since there were about 85 other show room cars and trucks, gotta say that it was a suprise to get an award. (not to mention all the questions it attracted) was a very rewarding $hit eating grin day. lol

as for the thing on the hood, its from a land rover snatch vehicle that was hit by an IED in afghansitan and was retrieved by the former owner for his land rover (which is the one i have). its an equipment basket with a tube holder mount on the back of it. he also got the upper door halves as well. which has some battle scars on the drivers side.

      again thanks!

My Series 3 Lightweight next to my 110 CSW. I bought the Lightweight 3 years ago in Texas and drove it 2,800 miles home to Canada.

After a few repairs and general servicing it has seen steady off road use.

Another picture of the lightweight. The interior was coated with rhino lining.

I like the glossier paint, a PO of mine wanted to "restore" it to a military look. He blasted the bronze green paint off, except for a few spots that were under seals and other nooks. Then painted it flat NATO green and black on the interior. the frame, undercarriage and interior also have some type of rough lining, similar to Rhinoliner.

Is yours 24v or was it converted?

                    Hi Andy.
Great looking vehicle. I love the look of a 109 pickup with a 3/4 canvas.

Nice truck Partsman.I've always been a sucker for a three door 109. I'd trade a couple parts truck 88s to someone for an extra three door 9'er,if there is someone out there needing some 88s

Thanks guys, I used to own 2 88's. I was actually shopping for one when I found this one. For the price, and condition, I couldn't resist. It's the first 109 I've ever owned, it definitely drives differently than the old 88's. It takes a bit of getting used to. I can't wait to get it back on the road and painted up, then I can add the canvas on. The PO gave me a brand new one, un-used still in the shipping box, along with a whole bunch of extras.
