Digging those shots, blue bomber. I love those old black and yellow Cali plates. Which tires are you running?

Blue bomber, are you running stock springs all around? The articulation looks as good as with paras. Definitely better than mine anyways, which are stock. I have to replace mine soon and trying to decide which route to take.

Thanks for appreciating the little beastie. The fronts are stock springs with military shackles . I have added a caster shim to bring the caster back to 5 degrees. I'm going to run rear springs on the front sometime this winter, lengthen the frame etc. I am running 10" travel shocks and relocated the shock mount , both to clear the calipers and allow for more droop. The rears are genuine Santana parabolics with military shackles. Nothing too fancy.

                  Sorry guys I flipped quotes
The tires are33x12.50x15 on allied wheels with 3 1/8th " back spacing. I opened up the fenders to defender size.

Couldn't help but stop and take a pic with the sun shining and a thunderstorm passing 3 miles to the southeast. I just wish I had a better camera:

Did you extend the spring hangers as well to run the mil. shackles? Any negative effects to this mod?

What kind of crazy suspension do you have that allows you to do that? Looks like a Mars Rover maneuver. I like it.

I did not extend the front hangers . The military shackles are a temporary measure. Without a lowering the front hanger and just using the shackles, you will have some problems. The front universal joint will get into bind and the caster is too much . I want to say 9 degrees. With a shim it works great. I have relocated my shocks and have 10 inches of travel. Works good for me. I am going to run longer springs on the front eventually. I 'm having too much fun driving right now. I don't want to decommission it for the swap!!
