      Our little 1964 88.

Just went thru a few months of fixing a few things and a paint job.

I am having a lot of fun with my Land Rover...

          Thank you.

Still need quite a bit of work on the electrical system and dash gauges but the cold weather and most importantly, my wallet, postponed this project to a later time...

Yep, you're right, It's a M416, I got a few MV's too. It goes great behind the Rovers too. Use it when we go camping and trail riding. The color is Marine Blue, but before i found the original color codes, I had it matched off of a peice the was never in the sun. It is actually a little darker than the Marine Blue color. When i got it, it was painted red.....I had to go back with the original color tho.

This is Ilene a 1974 land rover series 111, she got 7k miles on her when we got her, the front springs where shot, she leaned to the left, put new springs on her, looks great but kept the name. shes in great condition, was a barn find. she lives in homosassa florida.

1960 Series II 88 New to the Family

Believe me when I say I was NOT looking to acquire another Rover. But I could not pass this one up. It has been in a cryogenic freeze for 40 years. Only surface rust on chassis, bulkhead and core support. No rust perforations anywhere. Less than 300 miles on crate engine purchased from our hosts about 7 years ago (and only installed about 4 years ago). Still has the original radiator with a build tag that reads "03 59" which I believe means it was built in March 1959. Spent the last 45 years on a ranch in Montana going fishing, hunting and camping every once in a while. The body has a perfect patina on the pastel green paint and some great wrinkles, dents and scars. I am going to put a pickup cab on it within the next few weeks. (I am responsible for the Discovery wheels. I had to get new tires anyway since the set that was on it were purchased about 30 years ago.)
