There are two threaded holes on the bottom of the differential case near the driveshaft. Does anyone know what size, thread, pitch they are?

The bolt holes are the same on both. There are two small holes on the flat bottom of the case near the propshaft.Originally posted by Tim SmithI'm not understanding where you are talking. Is this a Sals or a Rover case?
I think they are a size 10mm with a 1.25 pitch.Comment

It is on later Rover-type differential "third members". My '73 had this type of diff in the front with the Salisbury in the rear. The early Rover diffs didn't have the large rectangular block on the bottom. This block houses the oil passages to the pinion bearings and has 2 threaded holes toward the rear.Originally posted by Tim SmithI'm not understanding where you are talking. Unfortunately, JUST THIS WEEKEND, I gave my old one away to another Rover enthusiast so I can't confirm the bolt size, sorry...--Mark
