I sourced it from our hosts. It sure does look beautiful, but it leaks oil. Originally, it looked like the pan gasket, but it seems to be weeping from some of the casing split lines as well. I'll get my Rocky Mountain cast aluminum cover installed and go from there.

What are you talking about? I don't have OCD. Really.
But why do people keep telling me that the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem?

Hmm...Those tires are pretty highly rated by the J**p folks, according to my teenage son, who has been working weekends at Wal-Mart so he can buy one new tire at a time for his Grand Cherokee. Too bad you didn't have these listed a month and a half ago, before he was 3/4 of the way to his goal.

^^ One of them is brand new - never even seen the ground.

I always heard that if a rover didn't leak, it was out of oil.

Well, it's officially a rolling vehicle again after more than a year. The driver's door is on, and it fits well considering that absolutely no body shimming/adjusting has been done at all. The bulkhead needs to go about 1/8" forward at the bottom to correct the fit, but that's as easy as adding a washer between the chassis & bulkhead. Hopefully the rest of the body goes as well.

Nice! The Dunsfold Museum would be envious.

I just want to remind you of this post and your respones from almost a year ago:

I certainly don't want this one to get to the point of my 63.
I'm interested in knowing what your '63 looks like!

Keep up the good work--You're almost there!

Look in the October edition of LRM. Its the one that leads a 'Charmed' life!

                      Mark-
Trust me, the Lightweight body is nowhere near the standard of the '63. Flat paint hides a lot of flaws!

Looks like Ivar has the '63 in LRM, which is awesome. It is a great looking vehicle - you can check it out in the 'SHow Us Your Series' section.

Both doors have been installed along with the 'roll bar' and rifle mounts. I also posted a pic of the brackets that tie the roll bar into the chassis.

What'd you put on the door hinges to prevent rust?

The door hinges are cadmium plated. I had them done along with a bunch of other hardware and my vent controls.

The upper bulkhead is now on along with the wiper mechanism, vent panels, etc. I was able to get new Genuine vent seals and demister tubes out of the UK.

Did you put the door seals on? If so where did you get the seals. I have all the brackets that connect the seal to the door just don't know where to get the seals.
