    Clutch Pedal Box

Since it was warm today I decided to replace my clutch MC. I snapped one of the bolts that holds the pedal assembly to the bulkhead. Does anyone know what size the bolts are? I know they are fine thread but it would be better to know what I am looking for instead of hauling the assembly into the hardware store and trying bolts. As always thanks for the help.

Is this IIa specific? Because I am almost sure that on my SIII it was a 7/16.

Nope, 5/16-24 or, to give it another name, UNF on all of them.

          7/16" is the wrench size.

1/4 inch bolts go 7/16 wrench.

              5/16 go 1/2.

Thread count doen't affect bolt head size. My two-hundredths of a dollar for the day.

Me bad, of course you are correct. I just got through removing all of that stuff and 90% of the time I was using a 7/16" wrench and socket with the occasional 1/2", that must have been one of the occasional 1/2" times.
The pivot pin for the clutch peddle linkage was so gummed up that the clutch peddle would not come back up so I ended up removing and dismantling the whole thing so I could clean it up and get it into operating condition.
