Istalled a broken rubber exhaust mount, installed new distrubtor PLE143 which doesn't work with my pertronix ....and put on a front shock that has been missing for 6 months.

I usually replace those broken rubber exhaust mounts but I am sure you have your reasons for installing a broken one
The Lucas 45D4 with a Petronix is probably the bestest setup for a series. Solid, low maintenance and more immune to water than the Huge pile of CRAP Duciller..
Well finally got down to the rover 4.5 Hour drive. Finished wiring dash, new flasher installed, installed new generator, made a mess out my front panel for soft top ( was not bent right ), Painted some bits and pieces, drank beer...all is good.
Installed the electric fuel pump so I can be done with Vapor Lock (I hope!). Of course once that's done the Generator started smoking...lovely. Went and bought an Alternator, which will be going on tomorrow
My rover shed some weight and gained some patina when I pressure washed it today. I reckon it lost 20+ lbs of mud, and maybe 1/4 of its paint too.
Also last night it provided a great deal of entertainment for my girlfriend's little cousins as we drove it around town. Even with the 90wt smell and the rough ride they had a blast and begged to go back out every chance they got
Don't know where all the Ducellier hate comes from. I had a 2.25 petrol w/ducellier and pertronix setup which managed to stay running submerged for over an hour while I was stuck in a river. The alternator didn't survive that adventure though.
For today's rover work I had fun with JB weld and a gas tank.

He He He.....that WAS fun! I've never seen all gear oil cavities look like mayonaise!
