    Bumper

It's a bumper the PO hade made for the rover. I am not sure where it was made or who made it. Tough though!

I tried cleaning the cab area of my 66 IIa ambulance......but all the cleaning stuff froze on contact. So I then went out and bought the wife a 2004 Discovery HSE.

BTW, a reasonable offer may convince me to sell the Salisbury and fund a Dana 60 front axle build. The stage 1 rover parts are good but I may be pushing them too hard and they cost too much to be breaking the on a regular basis.

Trying to get Ron to sell me his rolling Designa Chassis. Bulkhead reconstruction on hold pending my repairing the Lawib's transfer case. Consequently the galvy run is on hold until the BH is ready. Diesel tach in a Jaeger shell project almost done; need to print the waterslide decal for the dial face. Last major thing for the 5 door other than galvy and paint is the 200 Tdi refresh.

2nd RRC off to get state inspection so it can get tags. It's getting a new set of Dura tracs.

Ripped my headlamp wiring apart and then put it back together. I didn't figure out the problem but the snow is just too much fun to resist so it is time to go fool around.

I stuck a new cable from the battery to the starter on my Series 3. The poor old 2.5 NA diesel was struggling to start once the temp dropped down around the freezing mark. Now even at -12c the engine fires up after only about 10 seconds of glow plugging. Shoulda done that a long time ago. Who knew?

what windows do you have on the sides of your hardtop. Don't look like original equipment.

                          Windows

They came with the hard top from the previous owner. I believe they are a set of defender windows. They all slide open and are set up with screens. I will take additional photos of the window set up if you would like.

Would you mind posting the part numbers and sources for some of those parts? The bearing housing, shafts etc.? Nice job, looks good and clean!

Thanks very much. The steering parts came from Borgeson:
                                #114925 3/4DDx11/16-36
                                #113452 3/4-36x1DD
                                #450024 24" Telescopic Shaft
                                #409016 16", 1" Spline, 3/4x36 Shaft

I have an old Bridgeport mill I used to make the bearing carrier (Credit Ike for the design, be happy to reproduce one for materials and time), and cut/modified the bulkhead support to mate up to the carrier. Rover steering shaft has the worm gear cut off, the length of Borgeson 3/4x36 was turned down to slide into the Rover shaft and tig welded. It does make for a clean looking set up.
