    Hi all,
Finally got the main shaft nut off. I had to use a Dremel with a metal cutting bit to cut almost all the way through. So now I'm re-assembling.

I assume the tabs on locking washer face forward (the pre-bent ones). And then when everything is tight, you turn the flat tabs down and into the nut to secure it?

Anything else special I should do during re-assembly?

    Thank you
    Chris

Yeah--the 2 pre-bent tabs fit through the other washer and into the slots on the gear. I'd lube everything up so that the nut doesn't grab on the locking washer during tightening and tear the 2 forward tabs off.
