Im trying to decide what color to paint my 109, its a faded tan now and i was going to go for a desert tan like military Humves but the more i think about it i think something different would be cool. I want a flat color because i dont ever want to deal with scratches and its easy to touch up. Gray, olive drab, heck even flat black might be cool. Anyone have a unique paint job with pictures or some other ideas they would like to share?

You could always go with the animal-based paint job. You know, zebra stripes, giraffe spots, tiger stripes, leopard spots, etc...--Mark

Jeep (some special edition) used to (maybe still) do a flat kind of grey-green umber color I always liked. Not too military-y, but tough and off-road-ready looking. Similar to this (at least on my screen):
My poppy red 74 has faded to the typical orangeish and in most places is pretty much flat. Doesn't look bad.
I wonder how a flat warm sunset or rust orange would look flat? Definitely different.

haven't seen him on this board for a while, or maybe he just change his name and refrains from posting pic of his 88, but do you folks remember the pink barbie series?'64 Series IIA 88 Canvas Tilt

It would be different to say the least.....
Stealing this idea from scott, he wanted to do this to a Triumph Spitfire at one time. Paint using the RAF camo scheme like this.....
I think I'd do the sills and frame/bumpers in the blue and then either of the camo patterns on everyting else. Guess I'd go with the desert scheme since I live in the desert. And of course place the circular logo on the doors.1964 Series 2A SW, LHD mostly stock, often runs!

Likely military paint, Lusterless Desert Sand 686 (Fed Standard 33446) by Gillespie coatings. Cheap and available from Rapco. Jack painted his lightweight with it and I will be painting my Series III on Thursday with it too but using a hardener so mine will be a touch less flat in it's finish. The Goat, 2.8 Daihatsu Td, '73 coil conversionComment
