On my second Rover (a $50 true barn find - well, behind-the-barn find), back in 90-something, It had a fused clutch plate. We put it in gear and towed it. If I remember correctly, it took awhile, and we had to do some jerking to free it.

We bled the system, and the clutch linkage does move.

also if anyone can help me find a new top for a (IIa i think) 2 door long wheel base, ide be very appreciative.

A proper introduction is in order but this was also a "Barn Find"

It has been sitting for 4 yrs. Although in good condition it was crazy dirty.
Took one hour and one knuckle to get it running..
$4400 (with the crazy prices these things go for, let me know how we did?)

          Canvas Top

          Nice looking Land Rover windsma!

We have new canvas tops here in stock @ RN

Feel free to call, fax or email if you have any questions!

If you haven't freed up the pressure plate & disc yet...
(if the LR starts...and you have room to drive it around...start it up, low range, 4th gear...
feather the gas while holding the clutch pedal down...dont run into anything...usually
the torque will help seperate the clutch components)

          Peace,
          Art
