    Alpine Windows

I now have the windows! Could someone with an 88 with AWs measure the distance from the end of the window to the back of the top and from the rain gutter up to the bottom of the window?

    Many Thanks

        Nice job!

Did you use the glass to trace an outline? How much larger than the outline did you make the hole? What did you use to cut the top?

        Thanks!

Well, I took the day off work today to do the headliner and windows in the truck. Started at 6:00 and was done by 3:30 this afternoon. The sunroof is

Okay, I am planning to install alpine windows on my hard top this summer. I am ordering the communal installation tool from Rube this week and will ha

Is there a magic way to install these things??????? I'm replacing the rubber and after 2 hours still haven't made any real head way with the filler. J

              ok
5.25 inches from the back of the top and 1 inch from the drip rail
i traced the glass in that position then outlined it by .25 inches.
used a drill to start the hole then used a jigsaw with a plywood blade for the smoothest cut. filed down the edges so nothing would get caught.
cut the larger seal so the brake in the seam was at 6 oclock. make sure you leave a little extra. you will need it. i put some wd 40 in the seal to make the glass go in a little eaiser. then the filler seal in so the joint was at 12 oclock. you will need the filler seal tool to get that in. i borrowed one. i think there are a few floating around the forum.
i dont run a headliner so im not sure about that part
i definately like the way they look though.
              good luck
