You might look into landroverimport.com. Duncan has been highly recommended to me, and while I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet I plan to Real Soon Now(tm).
I was looking over that thread but I would think a single motor is a bit different than an entire container filled with various product..
If you can find someone bringing a container over you can sometimes find room in it and economically bring your engine over. I know of a few that have come over to NY/Ontario recently. It might be worth asking around.
1965 SIIa 88",1975 Ex-MOD 109/Ambulance, 1989 RRC, blah, blah, blah...
In a container, crated it's around a cubic meter in size give or take a bit. Not sure of east coast rates, but last container to west coast was $210 a cubic meter.
Martin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted to do a 200tdi with a 300tdi turbo. This made for an easier swap into my SIII 109 (bolt on existing mounts w/o turbo fouling the chassis). Add a Steve Parker exhaust specifically for this configuration and I'm hoping for a relatively easy swap.
I'll be able to tell you more in a couple of weeks when I have mine in hand.
Interesting... I saw that, but it didn't lo turnkey to me.. Does he offer different options..
I'm my experience it's not having the little bits that ma,e for a difficult swap..
On ebay he is selling stripped engines but if you call him he can quote whatever you need. He can also provide the little bits (i.e. relay/solenoid for fuel line, throttle cable, etc...) and ancillaries in a turnkey setup.

1971 109 Safari Wagon (1 ton chassis)
1995 LWB Range Rover Classic
1997 Defender 90 (repaired at last)
2001 P38A Range Rover
Engine is finally shipping. I'll start a thread on the swap as soon as I get the engine.
So how is it going? How complete and useful was the kit from Martin/Landy LTD? Would you do it all again the same way if a pterodactyl came and flew away with your swapped landy?
