Pics pics pics please!!! It's the only way we see water on the ground here in Phoenix. With Friday being 117 and this week forecasted to be in the low teens (duh, no news there), any pics of water is a good thing! I guess we do have dust storms here, so that is our contribution to the storm category.

photos from Vermont....I am in Rutland. The major north/south road Rt 7 is gone. Rte 4 East is toast. All the minor roads are in very bad shape.

Route 4 on East side of killington pass. This is very very bad.

seriously. i drove from UCLA to Sherman Oaks and the temp jumped from 95 to 113 in just 15 miles. worst summer in LA ever!kinda jealous of those experiencing actual weather! it's way too hot here today in pasadena, supposed to be about 108 with the heat index this afternoon. even with my door tops off, I probably wont' be driving the rover since it's like sitting in an oven anyway. stay safe friends, and post some pictures
would love irene to visit the west coast and take some of that trouble from you guys in the east.
hope everyone is staying safe!Comment

VT got hit hard with the flooding. Mongo, have most of the larger rivers crested yet? I was reading that much of the initial damage was in some of the mid size waterways and when the smaller tributaries finally catch up, the larger rivers will be a whole other disaster!Jason

These are the NWS and USGS web sites for stream and river flows in Vermont.

You can get to the other state's flows, too.
