    Electrical Issues

Driving around yesterday, lost the A/C, dome lights, radio, rear wiper, driver seat controls (passenger still works) and the key in ignition warning chime. No blown fuses in main fuse block, no blown fuses under driver seat, no blown fuses in block under passenger seat. There is a single 15A fuse under passenger seat that was blown, replacing it did not cure any problems. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Usually, when so many things give out at once, you need to look at your MFU [multi-function unit]. Located in the fuse block area, and is a black box about 3" X 4" X 1" thick, marked Lucas [there's a failure tip-off...] AMR1280. I believe it is located somewhere behind the fuse block, if memory serves right.

Check the fusible links in the wiring harness from the +ve terminal of the battery

Checked the fuse links. PO had added two in-line fuse holders to two of the links. One of the fuse holders was a melted blob! Replaced it. Everything works! I will be adding a fuse block to replace all the fuse links. Any problem adding resetting breakers instead of fuses?

That's the image that comes to mind whenever the phrase "a hot mess" is used. For your fuses, I'd go with the regular blade type but get the ones that light up when they are blown. I don't remember the brand name but they're easy to source.
