Mr. Thompson - good to hear you can reach us from the great beyond... Yes, you can still have spark if you remove/disconnect the MAF. MAF is intake related for fuel/air mixture and won't affect the spark, or lack thereof.

I just didn't know how the ECU would act with out any air. I got spark back in the ole' girl however I still have a wicked misfire at random times. I am going to order a LR dist. cap and coil as well as get a set of good wires.
What is the best way to put a fuel pressure guage in-line?

most tap into the schrader valve at the end of the fuel rail...
As for the misfire, your ordered items, plus a rotor and fresh, gapped, plugs will make a huge difference as these cars are very sensitive to weak ignition components. Good luck!
